Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival + Kuala Lumpur City Highlights (B/L)

You arrive at Kuala Lumpur, and after transfer and breakfast, begin your exploration in what is Malaysia’s vibrant capital—where modern skyscrapers and colonial architecture coexist. First stop is the Petronas Twin Towers, the 88-storey icon linked by a skybridge and set amid glass façades and Islamic-inspired motifs; you’ll try to visit the observation deck to take in sweeping views of the city. From there you will go to KL Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur), which rises 421 meters above Bukit Nanas and offers a 360° panorama over the skyline, often with an optional revolving-restaurant meal. You’ll also see Independence Square (Merdeka Square), home to the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, where colonial era architecture—copper domes, arched walkways and Moorish details—speaks of Malaysia’s colonial history. Along the way visit the National Museum to understand Malaysia’s story: from its prehistoric beginnings through colonial times to contemporary culture. After a private lunch, you check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing or strolling through nearby areas (such as Central Market or Chinatown) before your evening is free, allowing time to sample local street food or enjoy the city at night.

Day 2: Genting Highlands + Batu Caves (B)

After breakfast, you depart Kuala Lumpur and ascend to Genting Highlands, a cool hill resort retreat above the city. Expect lush vegetation, misty mountain air, cable car rides, and entertainment options at the theme park (indoor/outdoor) or casinos, depending on interests. Chin Swee Temple may be visited up in the highlands for serene views and cultural experience. After lunch in Genting you return to the city and visit Batu Caves, a limestone hill with cave temples that are sacred in Hindu tradition. The trek here includes climbing 272 colourful steps to reach the main Temple Cave, dominated by a towering golden statue of Lord Murugan at its base. The cave’s high vaulted ceiling, shrines, murals, and the ever-present monkeys make this a memorable and photo-friendly stop. In the evening, enjoy a private dinner, then rest at your hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 3: Sunway Lagoon Tour (B, L)

After breakfast at your hotel, prepare for a full day of excitement at Sunway Lagoon, one of Malaysia’s premier multi-theme parks located in Sunway City, Subang Jaya, Selangor. Spread across about 88 acres, the park contains over 90 rides and attractions divided into several themed zones: the Water Park (which includes the epic Vuvuzela slide, Waterplexx 5D, FlowRider surf simulator, Africa-themed waters, huge wave pool, and surf beaches), the Amusement Park (thrill rides like Pirate’s Revenge, the Lost City of Gold Scream Coaster, a long suspension bridge for pictures and views, gentle rides for the family), Wildlife Park (with over 150 species, interactive displays and animal shows), Extreme Park (for adrenaline junkies: flying fox trails, slingshot rides etc.), and Scream Park (a walk-through spooky horror-style attraction). Midday you’ll stop for lunch within the park. After lunch, continue exploring whichever zones you prefer most — maybe more water-fun if the weather is hot, or rides if you want the thrills.

Day 4: Free Day for Shopping (B)

After breakfast at your hotel, today is all about shopping and exploring the best of Kuala Lumpur’s retail and market districts on your own at your own pace. You can explore shopping on your own, and the places mentioned below are provided as suggestion. Start your morning heading to the Bukit Bintang Shopping District, which is the heart of KL’s retail scene. Here you’ll find a cluster of upscale malls like Pavilion Kuala Lumpur (luxury and international brands, stylish cafés, beauty and fashion outlets) and more accessible fashion and electronics options in nearby malls. Then make your way to Suria KLCC, located at the base of the Petronas Twin Towers, which offers high-end shopping plus a good mix of dining, beautiful views, and the relaxing adjacent KLCC Park.

Afterwards, shift toward more local and cultural shopping experiences. Spend time at Central Market (Pasar Seni), an art deco building turned shopping complex showcasing Malaysian crafts, batik, print fabrics, souvenirs, and traditional items. Then stroll through Kasturi Walk, an open-air walkway next to Central Market, with boutiques, food stalls, and casual browsing. For bargain finds and atmosphere, head to Petaling Street (Chinatown) — lively and full of street vendors selling inexpensive clothing, accessories, trinkets and souvenirs; haggling is common, and street food is close by so you can sample local snacks.

Lunch is at your discretion in one of these malls or nearby local eateries. In the afternoon, you might revisit a mall or two or relax in a café; perhaps check out Sungei Wang Plaza (a mid-level mall in Bukit Bintang with many local and budget shops) or Mid Valley Megamall / The Gardens Mall for a large variety of stores (Mid Valley has over 550 specialty stores including fashion, electronics, dining, etc.) In the evening, gather for a private dinner at one of KL’s nice restaurants.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 5: Leisure + Departure

On your final day, after breakfast, you have some free time—maybe last-minute shopping, taking photos, or visiting any attractions you missed. Depending on your flight schedule, this could include stopping by KLCC Park, strolling through nearby markets, or grabbing a final Malaysian meal. Then you check out, transfer to the airport, and depart, carrying with you the impressions of Malaysia’s blend of modernity, nature, culture, and warm hospitality.
